Arrowhead Hunting Preserve offers NO LIMIT Quail Hunting! We have the best flying released quail available. Hunting is in a natural habitat. Whether it be plantation, covey rises or single birds, we've got the quail hunt for you. A wooded area and strips have been left throughout the farm accordance with a government program (CP33) for wild quail to raise. We have seen the quail and have heard singing them in the summer mornings and evenings.

This is classic southern bird hunting, shooting at pointed birds over dogs. Opportunities for doubles are common, but only realized by a handful of shooters. Quail and Chukar are the favorites and flush in singles with occasional covey rises. A diverse hunt covering lots of habitat types. One to three persons, full service or self-guided.

Because Buchanan Shoals is private club, when you arrive for a quail hunt, it’s like having you own private quail plantation. Like most game birds, the Bobwhite is shy and elusive. When threatened, it will crouch and freeze; relying on camouflage to stay undetected, but will flush into flight if closely disturbed. Birds will go solitary or pair up early in the year. Family groups (coveys) grow throughout the year and are the largest in the winter. The quail is a great bird to hunt, with a flight pattern that can easily challenge any hunter.

Drake Landing offers a great bird hunting experience. Drake Landing has professionally trained dogs and guides. Continental tower shoots are also available. Lumber River Quail Co-op is a hunting club that consists of roughly 4000 acres of private timberland and farmland scattered around Columbus County that over the last four years it has been going through intensive habitat transformation. With help from Phoenix Forestry Services thinning timber and regular controlled burns, the land is returning to the quail habitat of yesteryear when our grandfathers would quail hunt and return home with full game bags. The evolution of the land is still ongoing and will be for years to come.

The Quack and Quail Hunting Club is a well-established hunting club setup for avid waterfowl and upland game bird hunters.
